Consumer Confidence Up in New York -Highest in Binghamton

Consumer confidence is up in New York State - and Binghamton is leading the way.
 
According to the Siena Research Institute, confidence in Binghamton jumped seven points in the fourth quarter of 2012 - the biggest leap in the state.

Binghamton's consumer confidence score of 72.6 is a 28% increase from the fourth quarter of 2011.  According to the poll, more than 14 percent of Binghamton residents plan to buy a new car or truck while almost 19 percent plan a major home improvement.
