Plea Deal Stands in Doherty Setencing

--Twenty-three years in prison for Daniel Doherty.
 
--That was after his plea to Manslaughter in the First Degree.

Dorherty,  arested along with Joseph Ross-Jones, originally pled guilty to  Second Degree Murder.  He admitted to taking part in the October killing of daniel Martinez of Binghamton.

Under a plea deal, dorherty cooperated in the prosecution of his co-defendant Joseph Ross-Jones.

Although Ross-Jones was acquitted, District attorney Gerald Mollen says Dorherty fulfilled his end of the bargain, so the plea deal stands.
