Willy Wonka Comes to Johnson City

JOHNSON CITY -- Oompa loompas, golden tickets, and lots of singing and dancing: all part of Johnson City High School's way of giving back to the community.

The Johnson City High School Sophisticats put on a free performance of Roald Dahl's "Willy Wonka Junior" today for Johnson City elementary school children.  The group has been rehearsing the play since the beginning of the school year, several times a week.

"It was awesome.  I love watching the kids.  It's funny, I have the best character because they laugh so hard.  They love it and I love watching the kids reactions," said senior actress Morgan Cluck, who played Violet.

You can catch the high school's next musical, "Footloose", in March.
