Changes in Our Local Parks

The months ahead will bring some changes to a local park.

Chairman of the Broome County Legislature Jerry Marinich says they have received a 25-thousand dollar grant from the Constitution Pipeline.

He says the money will go towards fixing up Otsiningo Park.

"We're going to sit down with the commissioner of public parks and public works and try to come up with a plan on how to best use that money," says Jerry Marinich, Broome Country Legislature Chairman.

"Some of the blacktop, in the past, needs some work, so maybe we can use our employees and use that money just to buy the blacktop," says Marinich.

15,000 dollars was also awarded to the Broome County Soil and Water Conservation District to purchase a post driver for the county's farms.
