Preston Reflects on 2012

BINGHAMTON -- As we go into 2013, newly re-elected Broome County Executive Debbie Preston reflects on her accomplishments and tells us her goals.

Preston told us that she is proud of not raising taxes and also coming up with over 4 million dollars in reoccurring savings for the county. She also says she believes she is on the right path to re-doing our public transit.

"It feels great.  It feels good for the people because that's what it's about.  And not having to raise taxes and keeping it at zero, I was very proud of that.  And in one year, I think we've accomplished more than may have been in past years in a Fall term," said Preston.

Preston says she plans on continuing to see how we can refinance our debt, and she is looking forward to developing the incubator project with Binghamton University.
