DOT Prepared for Storm
12/26/2012 (Updated 7:35:43 PM)
They say they are fully prepared to meet the storm head on and are ready for just about anything. However, they say being prepared is just half the battle. State Trooper Lt. Robert Croswell says that safety and good judgement should be a main priority for residents who are thinking about driving during the storm.
"During the storm, you really got to ask yourself, is this trip necessary? is this trip worth possibly wrecking your car, getting stuck in a ditch, getting hurt, getting killed," said Lt. Croswell.
Croswell says if you do find yourself in an accident or trapped in snow, residents should remain calm, call the state police, and wait with their car until help has arrived.
