Owego Celebrates Christmas

Owego residents got into the holiday spirit on Friday.

Families gathered for the eight annual Tioga County Correction Officers holiday dinner.  Santa stopped by with a toy and a book for each child.  Organizers say the toys were donated by members of the community. 

Across town at the Elks Club there was a line out the door for their annual holiday dinner.  Volunteers say its a holiday tradition that has taken place for over 20 years.

"They're important, they're historic, they mean something to generations of families.  It's part of the community.  This is just what we do here," says Scott MacDonald of  Troop 38.
