Teen Dies from Being Struck by Train

NEW MILFORD --  There was a tragic accident in New Milford Township, involving the death of a 16 year old boy struck by a train Tuesday morning.

The accident happened shortly after 8 am Tuesday as the teenager was walking North on the train tracks, to Blue Ridge High School.

The victim, Mahlon Christopher Mosher was wearing headphones listening to music.

He apparently didn't hear the train coming up behind him, and did not respond when the conductor blew the train's air horn.

The conductor was unable to stop in time.

Mosher was killed as the engine's front plow struck him.
