Benefit Dinner for Craig Family

A family beset by grief and struggle received an outpouring of support Monday night at Homer Brink Elementary School in Endwell.

A chicken and bisquit dinner was held with proceeds going to help offset medical and transportation expenses for the Craig family.

One of their two sons, Matthew, passed away recently after a struggle with a congenital heart disorder.

Now, Matthew's mother is battling  cancer.

Friends and neigbhors are extending their hearts and concerns:

"We come from a very very good community, we've had an out pouring of help and as I stated earlier, we started with 1200 biscuits and we just ran out. That means that we've gone through 600 meals so we're making potatoes now and we've still got plenty of food so it's been a great turn out," said Jim Tokos, head organizer for the dinner

Matthew Craig and his brother attended Maine-Endwell schools.
