Murder Trial: Drug Deal led to Martinez Shooting

A drug deal gone bad led to the shooting death of Daniel Martinez.

--That, according to the man who shot Martinez twice in the chest...
 
Daniel Doherty took the stand today in the trial of Joseph Ross-Jones.
Doherty testified he was acting on the approval of Joseph Ross-Jones, who is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Martinez.

Doherty testified he and Ross-Jones felt killing Martinez would solve the problem caused when Ross-Jones lost $16,000 to airport police in Arizona.
He was part of a deal to buy marijuana.

The trial continues Thursday.
