National Pipe and Plastic Protest Continues

Some Endicott residents continue to oppose a new business in town.

Residents came out to the Town Board Meeting Wednesday to voice  concerns over the relocation of National Pipe and Plastic from Vestal,  to Mills Avenue. 

They say they found out only this July that the PVC pipe manufacturer  is planning to move to the town's West side. They are concerned about chemicals.

"The first is our health.  They say there's no contamination they say there's no hazardous materials.  We've done the research on everything  from start to finish.  There are many hazardous materials that come along with National Pipe and Plastic," says Violet Russell.

"All those opposed to National Pipe and Plastic are good concerned people.  National Pipe is not welcome, never will be and never will be our neighbor," says a concerned Endicott resident.

Union Town Supervisor Rose Sotak says the Planning Board still needs a site review for the National Pipe and Plastic move to be properly considered.
