Johnson City Music Students Bring In The Holiday Spirit

Students from the Johnson City High School Music Club were busy getting into the christmas spirit on Sunday.

They were helping to hand out gifts to children at the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City.  There were over 60 people from the music department taking part in the activity.

In exchange for the students volunteering, the mall donated money to the school's music department. The mall has done this in the past and this year chose to help students from Johnson City.

"Its their chance to give back to the community, give some fun holiday items out, footballs and toy soldiers and drum pads and all kinds of stuff.  The little kids really enjoy it." said Mike Carbone, Coordinator of Music at Johnson City Schools.

The money the school receives will help kids pay for trips to different music competitions.
