(Source: Kate Thornton)A typical morning turned tragic last Thursday when Kenzee's babysitter accidently backed her vehicle into the child. Kenzee was airlifted to Wilson Hospital but succumbed her to injuries.
The babysitter is identified as 37-year old Brenda Hadlick. Hadlick has been charged with Criminally Negligent Homicide.
Kenzee's "Pop Pop" Vince Wheeler describes the little girl as someone who lights up the room when she enters it. "I wish I could tell the whole world about about little Kenzee. She will be sorely missed. I'm sure she knows that everybody loves her."
Hundreds took comfort to the touching stories about Kenzee like how much she loved her grandma and play games with her older brother and friends.
Kenzee's brother Kyler said they enjoyed playing X-Box games together. "I love my sister so much. She loved me and we had a lot of good times together."
Four year old Caden was a friend of Kenzee's and said he will miss her very much. "Kenzee was my friend and she plays with me all the time. I'm sad she's really up in heaven now."
Windsor resident Suzy Manning-Arsenault was happy to see how much the community has supported the family. "That's just what we do in a small town. I wish I had known her. Someday I will. I have that faith that someday we'll all be together again."
Everyone part of Tuesday night's ceremony found special meaning in the lighted vigil.
Lanterns released into the sky symbolized the brightness that little Kenzee brought to the lives of those who knew her for much too brief a time.
