VESTAL -- Vestal High School students interested in math or science got a real hands-on experience.Binghamton University students in programs like math, computer science, and biochemistry were at Vestal High School to give the students an idea what these programs are like when they go to college.
"I enjoyed meeting new people and learning what the students do in these programs," said Vestal High School Junior Cody Weston.
"We as bio-engineers have a couple of pamphlets as well as some simulations just to kind of introduce them to the field. The math students have the Fimbinachi Sequence, the computer scientists have computer programs running, they can kind of see real hands on what it is exactly what we do in college," said Bio-Engineering major and BU senior Amber Ferger.
Each group from BU was encouraged to get creative with their presentations to the high school students.
