That's how officials of the Association for Vision Rehabilitation and Employment describe was is being created as it unveiled its new ream wrapping machine on Thursday.
A.V.R.E. hopes the 468-thousand dollar machine will increase production and create more jobs. One worker put it this way:
"It's totally accessible, and that is because of the manufacturer and the folks here at A.V.R.E. which made it that way. It allows me, as a blind individual, to run this up-to-date piece of equipment and run it just like an individual that has 20/20 vision."
A.V.R.E. employs about 65 people--the majority of them being blind or visually impaired.
