Lockheed Martin Lands 30 Million Dollar Contract for Cargo Plane Upgrades

The military's huge C-130T Cargo Plane will be able to haul those tremendous loads for two decades longer, because of a Navy contract for Lockheed Martin.

Lockheed has won a 30 million dollar contract to upgrade the airplane's avionics. The new electronics will extend the fleet's mission capabilities for an additional twenty years.

Initially, Lockheed will develop nine cockpit kits for the cargo plane.
The aerospace company says the contract shows the Navy's confidence in its work, and expands Lockheed's products beyond the electronics it's already provided for it's MH-60 helicopters.
