Robbery Suspect Name Released

Binghamton Police have released the name of the suspect arrested last Friday night following a robbery of Manley's Mighty Mart at 77 Main Street in Binghamton.
 
The suspect is 30 year old Andrew Brown, who claims he is homeless.

The robbery was reported around 5:30 Friday evening.

The victim, a female clerk, sustained no injuries.

Police said Brown displayed what appeared to be a firearm, but when recovered, it turned out to be a bb gun.

Brown was caught a short time later not very far away after he ducked inside the apartments at 87 Oak Street.

Brown is charged with 2nd degree robbery.
