Shoe Boxes of Toys for Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner, and there are many doing their best to give to those less fortunate.

Operation Christmas Child is set up in the Calvary Community Church this week on Harry L. Drive.

People are encouraged to bring in shoe-boxes filled with toys, hygiene items, and school supplies for children.

The boxes are shipped to third world countries.

"Oh I think it's fantastic. It wouldn't be Christmas if you couldn't give to other people. I think the more people you can get to come down and fill one box, fill three boxes, fill ten boxes. However fortunate you are to give a little bit back is priceless," said Endwell resident Jeannie Laubert.

Nearly 200 shoe-boxes had been collected within the first two hours at Calvary Community Church.
