Stop DWI Holiday Classic field announced

BINGHAMTON  Monday Broome County Executive, Debbie Preston, announced the field for the 2012 Stop DWI Holiday Classic, and for the second time in three years, no local team will compete in the national bracket.

Seton Catholic Central, who went 0-3, played in the national division last winter, but this year find themselves in Regional Division II with Chenango Valley, Susquehanna Valley and Vestal.

Binghamton earns the top seed in Regional Division I with Maine-Endwell, Norwich and Union-Endicott looking to take down the defending champs.

In the National Division, there are three teams from New York City, two from Toronto, and one from Philly, Kentucky and Virginia.

The Holiday Classic runs from December 28th - 30th, but tips-off the 27th with the annual three-point and slam dunk competition.
