Strong Voter Turnout in Broome County

It's election day in the Southern Tier and throughout the country.

And voter turnout looks strong. Officials at many polling places we spoke with said turnout was strong and steady.

According to the Broome County Board of Elections, voter turnout is expected to be 80%.

"Oh, it's been insanely crazy. We have 11 phones and they have no stopped since this morning with people calling, 'Where do I vote? Am I still registered? What do I do?'," said Broome County Board of Elections Deputy Commissioner Karen Davis.

Polls are open until 9pm Tuesday night.
