Election Board Information

On the eve of Tuesday's vote the Broome County Board of Elections has been busy answering last-minute questions from voters.

Officials say the phone is ringing off the hook with residents asking how to register to vote and where to go on Tuesday.

Technicians are already setting up the voting booths. The board says that it is particularly busy this year because it is a presidential election year.

"We never really know, but the weather is supposed to be good.  We're hoping everyone will get out there.  We could have up to 80 percent of registered voters go.  We always like to think 100 percent will be interested enough to get there," said Mary Pines, Democratic Deputy Commissioner.

Student volunteers will be inputting the votes into computers in real time. You can see the results as they come in Tuesday night at www.gobroomecounty.com.
