Local Politicians Asked About Their Halloween Costumes

While Halloween falls right during the final stretch  of the election season,  even rivals found some common ground on the scariest of nights...

Candidates for Broome County Executive - Democratic Challenger Tarik Abdelazim and Republican incumbent Debbie Preston - both told us earlier, that they had big plans this evening.

"We've been stitching together my son's little costume. he just turned one last Friday and he's going as a little wizard because I want him to use his magic for victory on November 6th," said Abdelazim.

"I have  little bo peep, I have dracula, I have a lot of different costumes so it is one of my favorite times of the year that I do get dressed up.

"But am I going to tell you what I'm going to be dressed up as? No. Because you'll be stalking me and then it will make a difference in how much candy I'll get if you're stalking me," said Debbie Preston.

No word yet on which costume was selected.
Our investigative unit is working on that.
