Halloween and the DWI Crackdown

If your driving is tricky, don't expect a treat from area police.

In fact, despite the storm Broome County's Stop DWI Crackdown Program nabbed four DWI drivers, and issued 50 tickets for various traffic offenses just  since this past Friday.

The violators were stopped at three checkpoints in Vestal.

Authorities say the checkpoints in various locations will continue through the holiday season, and police patrols will be increased throughout the area.
