Vestal Red Ribbon Day

For good life decisions, a red ribbon is what a  group of Vestal High Schoolers were handing out to kids at five different elementary schools.

The ribbons are to remind elementary school children to make good life decisions and discourage drug use.

The students from Vestal High School were a part of the "Yes Leads" student team and SADD.

"I think it's really important just because once they get older they're going to be confronted with a lot of negativity and they should know what to do and what not to do. Hopefully we'll help them with that," said Marisa Valent a senior at Vestal High School.

"It means not drinking drugs, not taking drugs or drinking alcohol," said Anthony Miller at Vestal Elementary.

The Vestal Elementary students can use the red ribbons they got in class today to get into their high school's football game tonight.
