Local Democrats Approve Obama's Debate Performance

The President's energetic thrusts in Tuesday's presidential debate was what local democrats were waiting for out of Barack Obama.

At their headquarters in downtown Binghamton, local candidates and party members all had fresh memories of the President's lackluster performance in the last debate with Mitt Romney.

Democrats were looking for an Obama they remembered from four years ago.

"The President really shows what we've seen before in the past like the excitement and what really got us inspired by his candidacy in the first place," said Broome County Executive Candidate Tarik Abdelazim.  "He'll do just fine."

Broome County Community College Freshman Andrew Jackson said he felt President Obama needed to convey that he wants his job back.  "I think he's going to have to catch everyone's attention like Romney did at the last debate."

The Presidential debate held at Hofstra University was the second debate.
