State GOP Chairman Weighs In On Debate

The day after Joe Biden and Paul Ryan squared off in the campaign's only Vice-Presidential debate, the head of the New York State GOP not surprisingly says he's happy with Ryan's performance...
   
Ed Cox says Ryan showed command of the issues in the debate against the Vice-President. Ryan is known most for his budget proposal, which features spending cuts as a way to tackle the national deficit.
But Cox said Ryan displayed his knowledge in other areas as well.

"He also covered foreign affairs. He was very knowledgeable about what was going on. He addressed the war in Afghanistan knowledgeably. This man is ready to be President if he has to be, which is the first qualification for a Vice-President," said Cox.

While Thursday night was the only Vice-Presidential debate, the second of three presidential debates will be on Tuesday night.
