B-Sens thinking positive heading into opening weekend

BINGHAMTON -- The B-Sens have yet to play a game, but after a 3-0 preseason, the team is thinking positive heading into game number one.

Wednesday, at the team's media day, several players were even comparing this year's team to the team that won the Calder Cup two season ago.

The main thing they're comparing to that Cup team is the defense.

"The last exhibition game we barely spent any of the time in our own end," said David Dziurzynski. "We have a bunch of big guys back there that play physical.  I think it's very similar to what it looked like a few years ago."

"The defense is a lot stronger this year," said Goalie Robin Lehner. "We've got some additions, a couple of veteran guys in the back there and everyone's a year older and a year wiser."

The B-Sens hit the ice for the first time Saturday at home against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
