Consumer Confidence is Up in Binghamton

Consumer confidence in Binghamton rose at a higher percentage than any other region in New York State over the past year.

This according to a new survey from the Siena research institute.

Binghamton's consumer confidence rose from a score of 50.8 in the third quarter of 2011 to 65.6 in the third quarter of 2012.

That number is down point-two points from the second quarter of this year, though. Binghamton's score is still the second-lowest in the state, ahead of only the Utica area.
