Greene suspends football coach

GREENE, NY -- The Greene Central School District has suspended its football coach Tim Paske for the remainder of the season, Jonathan Retz, the school superintendent, confirmed Wednesday afternoon.

Wednesday night about 100 parents, students turned out to a school board meeting to get answers and to protest Paske's suspension.

The Board would not give any answers because it's an issue having involving personnel decisions.  However, many at the meeting were convinced it was because of Paske's decision to allow the Trojan team to decide not to walk in the Homecoming parade prior to their game.

After hearing more than an hours worth of complaints and protests from the community the board did enter executive session to further discuss the matter, but said they would not have a decision Wednesday night.

Greene travels to Whitney Point for its game this Saturday.
