Vestal Students Learn About Fire Safety

It was a mix of fun and life-saving lessons as the Vestal Fire Department taught elementary school students about fire safety Tuesday.

Firefighters invited students into their trucks to see how they work.

Kids also practiced stopping, dropping, and rolling in case of a fire.

Teachers dressed up as fire fighters to show the kids that they shouldn't be of afraid of the outfits.

And, everyone sang along to a new song about fire safety to the tune of ghostbusters.

Firefighters will continue visiting schools the rest of the week, but remind everyone that fire safety should be practiced all year round.
