Boo at the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park

Halloween is still over 3 weeks away, but the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is getting a jump start on the fun this year.
   
For the next 3 weekends "boo at the zoo" will be taking place.  This weekend's theme was pirates and mermaids.  Kids that attend in costume can enter a contest to win prizes.  The zoo has activities that are perfect for children between the ages of 3 and 10.

"We shut down the whole zoo and make it a scary place.  That's just for people to come and get scared.  This is for people to come out and enjoy the zoo and the nice October weekends," said Patti Searles, Education Curator at the Binghamton Zoo.

During the next two weekends the zoo will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. for child friendly entertainment.
