Johnson City Burglary/Drug Arrest

Johnson City police say one of their detectives was injured when he captured a man who had burglarized his ex-girlfriend's residence.

Police say they chased 29-year-old Eladio Murphy on foot and when they apprehended him, Murphy bit the detective.

Police also say Murphy had crack cocaine and marijuana on him when caught. Murphy is facing a number of charges including Burglary, Resisting Arrest, and Assault.

The detective is now back to work.
