No Veteran Left Behind

Veterans, including those struggling with unemployment and homelessness, found some help Wednesday.

The "No Veteran Left Behind" program at the VFW post on Grand Ave in Johnson City gave the veterans a chance to interact and learn some valuable information regarding their future.

There was free food and music, as well as blood-pressure screenings and information on housing. It was a welcome that some veterans have been waiting for.

"I mean they should have more like this for veterans coming home so they can get the help and know where to go so they can get put back on the right track, instead of veering off the wrong track," said James Wilson an Afghanistan Veteran.

The Labor Department was there offering their services, which include skills assessment, resume help, and job referrals.
