Revitalizing Washington Avenue in Endicott

The Village of Endicott welcomed a group of new businesses and luxury apartments on Saturday.

Two ribbon cutting ceremonies marked the completion of renovations of two buildings on Washington Avenue.  One building houses eight businesses including a dance studio and a chiropractic office.

The other building which used to be a music store is now home to eight luxury apartments.  Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo and Mayor Bertoni joined the festivities.  Many people flocked to the open houses to check out the new facilities which  also include a new gym and pilates studio.

Just nine months ago there were only three businesses in this building, Today there are eight and we are happy to say that it is a sign of the ongoing progress happening here on Washington Avenue," said Brian Luby, President of the Downtown Business of Endicott Association

It is really helped my business, Ive been expanding, Ive been a chiropractor in Endicott for ten years but I just went off on my own and Im here at this location now," said Francine Finucan, from Body Lab Pilates and Yoga.

Locals say they hope that the new additions to the city will help boost its economy.
