Federal Money Helps with Hiring of Long-Term Unemployed

New York businesses now have more incentive to hire the long-term unemployed...
 
The state is handing out $6 million in federal grants to companies who hire those out of work for 27 weeks or more.

The grant program will also include a mobile re-employment response team that will target areas that have the highest rate of long-term unemployment in New York.

This includes locations in the North Country, Rochester, Buffalo, and Albany.
