Tipped-over Bus Teaches Kids About Safety

If you were driving through Endwell Monday, and saw a bus on its side in front of Homer Brink Elementary, there was no cause for concern.

Students were getting a lesson in bus safety.
   
Kids learned how to get out of a bus if there is an accident.

Drivers helped the children out of, the roof hatch, the window, and the back door.

"Teaching the children to evacuate the bus safely in an emergency and so that they're not scared if an emergency ever does happen," said bus driver Eilen Ackley.

"It's fun standing standing on the roof of a bus," said student Lauren Smith.
