New Hotline Helps Prevent Bullying

Officials in the Binghamton and Union-Endicott districts say these measures have produced results. But some people wonder if the system could be abused?
Attorney Ron Benjamin represented a pair of U-E students that he says were falsely accused. However, he feels the benefits of this type of system outweigh the risks.
"When you balance the amount of good that those hotlines actually bring about that it has to be something that remains in place and that you simply do your best to curtail the people that abuse it," said Benjamin
He says the suspensions of his clients are currently being reviewed, and there is a possibility they could be overturned.
