Child Porn Law Tightened

New York State has closed a loophole which had allowed some to view child pornography.

Under the old statute people who visited a website where child pornographic images became automatically embedded into a computer didn't technically possess child pornography.

Now if a person purposefully accesses a website intending to view child pornography, he or she will be committing a felony.

Under the new law, according to Governor Cuomo's office, child pornography can never be possessed in New York State.
