Homeowner says Flooded Cellar Constant Problem in Endicott
9/8/2012 (Updated 11:24:36 PM)
Dave Sands and his neighbor say that houses along a portion of South Loder Avenue have repeatedly sustained significant water damage.
They believe its caused by broken pipes in the sewer system.
"The water was highest about here...in this part of the basement. The other section had seven and a half feet of water in it and it was coming up through the ground."
"Since we moved here in 1958 there's always been flooding...it could be budget, it could be other things that are more important to the Village of Endicott right now. I really don't know, I'd like to learn more about it and see if something can be done."
The two neighbors say that they would like the problem to be fixed by the city as soon as possible.
