Following Rain, Looking Good On Eve of Dick's Open

When players do get back to action though, do not expect the course conditions to be too much of a factor.
According to Tournament Director John Karedes, the floods this past September gave crews the chance to put in extra drainage at En-Joie. The additional draining made an already well-draining course even better.
However, players are a little worried about what conditions could be like early on Friday morning with some sections of the course being wetter than others.
"I think for sure it will play longer," said Horseheads native Joey Sindelar. "I think what we're worried about is when you get rain like this, and the turf is this new in so many places, all of us are expecting a lot of mud on the golf ball and you can't remedy that."
Even with the weather Friday, officials expect play to finish up around 6:00 Saturday evening to set up a normal Sunday finish.
