B-Sens announce 2012-13 Schedule

BINGHAMTON, N.Y.  The Binghamton Senators, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced today the full 2012-13 regular season schedule, which will see the B-Sens open their eleventh season at home against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday, Oct. 13, at 7:05 p.m.

The B-Sens are poised to face 12 of the 15 opposing teams in the AHLs Eastern Conference at least twice.  The B-Sens will face all but one of their East Division rivals eight times (four home, four road).  Binghamton will play an eight game series each against the Hershey Bears, Norfolk Admirals and Syracuse Crunch.  The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are the lone exception, squaring off against the B-Sens ten times (five home, five road).

Binghamton will play 14 games against three teams in the Western Conference; the Hamilton Bulldogs (two), Toronto Marlies (four) and Rochester Americans (eight).

The B-Sens  boast a fan friendly 2012-13 schedule as weekend games fill the majority of the this season.  31 of the teams 38 home contests are scheduled for a Friday (15) or Saturday (16).  March will be the busiest month of the season for Binghamton, as the club will play 15 games (eight home, seven road) in 31 days.

The B-Sens schedule also features three traditional and much anticipated holiday games.  The Toronto Marlies come to town on Thursday, Nov. 22 for Thanksgiving, the Syracuse Crunch visit Binghamton on Wednesday, Dec. 26 for a post-Christmas match and the St. Johns IceCaps are set to face the B-Sens Monday, Dec. 31 for New Years Eve.

The B-Sens 76-game 2012-13 regular season schedule will conclude on Sunday, April 21 at 3 p.m. as the team travels to Syracuse to take on the Crunch.
