Naked Man Hospitalized After Running into Traffic

What had onlookers giggling at first along the Vestal Parkway Thursday, turned quickly into a serious matter.
   
Shortly after 5 p.m. police received a call that a man was walking naked along the parkway near the Skylark Diner. That caused cars to stop and spectators to gather.

But a bit later police say the naked man was struck by a car when he  ran out into traffic when he turned onto the Route 26 south ramp leading to Route 434.

Police say he sustained a "substantial" head injury. He's identified as 18 year old Elvis Evaristo of 2726 Watson Boulevard in Endwell.

He's at Wilson Hospital now, police say he'd been staying at the Skylark Motel.
