Candidates Vow Write-In Campaign if Petitions Tossed by Court

And there is a  political feud within the Town of Union.

Republicans have been challenging signatures on ballot petitions for two Democrats running for council seats.

In the New York State Supreme Court in Binghamton Wednesday, the judge decided that he wanted to hear testimony before deciding if the petitions of candidates Frank Palmisano and Bill Tastle are valid.

The next court session is set for early September.

Tastle tells fox 40 Newst, that if the signatures are thrown out--and their names are removed from the ballot in November-- he and Frank Palmisano will run write-in campaigns--and win-- he says.
