St. Mary of Assumption Bazaar

The Saint Mary's Bazaar kicked off Friday night in Binghamton.

The festival-- a 98-year tradition-- features live entertainment, Italian food, desserts and plenty of family fun for all ages. -- and despite the rain, plenty of folks came out to enjoy themselves  on Hawley street, a few blocks from St. Mary's of the assumption church.

"It gives the chance to meet people that are from different background. The style, the foods they like to eat and present. It's just a good place to mingle," said Kevin Stankiewicz of Binghamton.

"I miss that down in Virginia. We're not as tight as it is around here so it's nice to come back and see all the people get together and have a good time,"said James Cerretani of Virginia.

The bazaar continues through Sunday and admission is free.
