Lupardo Fundraiser

Supporters of Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo gathered at the Enjoie Golf course Thursday evening.
 
They enjoyed the 8th Annual Blues and Barbeque Fundraiser.

In November the Democrat will be running against County Legislator Julie Lewis, who is a Republican. 

Thursday's crowd included union leaders and other officials

"Its very heart warming to see this level of support.  It gives me a chance to get feedback on work were doing and stay focused on important things we have to do in the months ahead." said Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo.

The guest speaker at the fundraiser was State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli.  His office has released a new report that says the great recession has created problems for many local governments.

"There's no easy answers.  Its going to mean having to look at tough choices on spending, tough choices on revenue.  That's the reality we have to contend with.  Everyone needs to be aware of that and adjust expectations accordingly." said New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli.
