Jets Offense Wins the Day

CORTLAND, NY -- For nearly the entire first week of Training Camp the New York Jets defense dominated practice, each day earning the coveted black jerseys.

However, that changed Thursday when the offense outplayed the defense and took those jersey back for practice on Friday.

Coach Rex Ryan is happy either way though, because he always wins with the competition the black jerseys have created during practice.

"Those black jersey things really have been good," Ryan said after Thursday's practice.  "It has brought out some fun competition.  I predicted there would be three fights and there were only two fights, so I was wrong on that also, but really it's great to see."

Thursday was also everyone's first look at Tim Tebow in the "wildcat" formation.  Tebow performed well in the new spot, scoring three touchdowns in four attempts during the goal line period of practice.
