Pennsylvania Police Officer Fatally Shoots Motorist After He Allegedly Tries To Run Him Over

Authorities say it happened around 3:30 Sunday morning in Lawrence Township in Tioga County when 28 year old Brian Elwood of Knoxville, Pennsylvania failed to stop for a traffic violation.
Police say Elwood fled the scene and a sent them on a pursuit thru three towns. But, Elwood lost control of his 2002 Saturn on Shepherd Creek Road and came to a stop.
When confronted by the Elkland Boro Police Officer, Elwood drove his vehicle into the front of the stopped Police SUV. The officer then got out of his car and ordered Elwood out of his vehicle.
Authorities say Elwood refused to comply and drove his Saturn towards the police officer. He then fired his pistol and fatally shot the man.
