BINGHAMTON -- The Portland Sea Dogs took the lead just two batters into the game and never looked back, defeating the Binghamton Mets 5-1 on Saturday night. The B-Mets stranded nine runners on base and watched their six-game home winning streak against the Sea Dogs come to an end.

After getting held to two runs in Fridays doubleheader, Portlands offense jumped out of the gate against B-Mets starter Greg Peavey in the opening frame, with the first four batters reaching safely.

Jackie Bradley led off with a walk and Jeremy Hazelbaker gave Portland the early lead by stroking a two-run homer to right center. Marquez Smith followed with a double and scored when Reynaldo Rodriguez doubled to left field.

Portland scratched out their final run against him in the fifth. Hazelbaker reached on a bunt single to start the innings, stole second and third and scored on Smiths second sac fly of the night.
