Binghamton Man Dead After being Pulled from Cayuga Lake

A trip to Cayuga Lake turns deadly for a Binghamton man.

Now detectives are waiting for autopsy results.

Investigators say Wednesday afternoon, 69-year-old Roman Lewkowitz was on a pontoon in shallow water when he went to wade into shore in the Springport Cove area.

Fifteen minutes later he was found floating in the water.

First responders were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead.
