B-Mets' President Urda: "99% sure deal will be done with Mets"

BINGHAMTON -- It appears as though the Binghamton Mets are close to an agreement to stick around town for awhile.

Fox 40 spoke with B-Mets President Mike Urda about his meeting with New York Mets General Manager Sandy Alderson. Now while no deal is done yet, Urda told Fox 40 that he's 995 sure a deal will be done by September.

"They're happy with Binghamton. We're happy with them. It's been a great partnership. As long as we keep our end up, and keep the stadium and playing field in good condition - they're very happy with our location."

In the fall the Ottawa Citizen reported that the B-Mets were on the verge of being sold and relocated to Ottawa. A report Urda has always denied.
